Brisbane South General Practice Hepatitis C update - Working Together to Eliminate HCV

Brisbane South PHN and Metro South Health invite General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers to a free Hepatitis C Update at Calamvale Hotel and Conference Centre, with an overarching theme of working together to eliminate HCV.


  • update on new and planned PBS-listed medications that make curing Hepatitis C even easier (including those which can treat all HCV genotypes)
  • hear from one general practice who use a holistic chronic disease management approach to treat patients with HCV
  • overview of how practice software can be used to find patients with Hepatitis C
  • overview of the newly developed referral criteria for referring to a public hospital hepatology service.

It’s time to dust off the good linens, break out the special cutlery and get out that bottle of red you’ve been saving.

Host a meal this World Hepatitis Day and support people living with hepatitis.

How to host!

Simply register at whd@hepqld.asn.an and we’ll send you one of our fundraiser packs with information, posters and meal suggestions for your orange-themed bash.

Get cooking!

Hosting a meal can be as simple as a work morning tea with your colleagues, a backyard BBQ, or an elaborate formal affair. Whatever you’d like to do, it’s up to you.

The important thing is to raise awareness along with funds. Our fundraiser packs have lots of useful information to get the conversation started.
