Advocating for viral hepatitis elimination by 2030.
Almost 300,000 people in Australia are living with hepatitis B or hepatitis C, putting them at increased risk of liver disease and liver cancer.
They shouldn’t have to.
Hepatitis B has effective treatment and a vaccine.
Hepatitis C has a cure and is preventable.
The Fourth National Hepatitis B and Sixth National Hepatitis C Strategies provide a critical roadmap to achieve elimination of these diseases. The community are eagerly awaiting their release.
We cannot afford to let the opportunity for elimination surpass us.
This very special World Hepatitis Day event brings the hepatitis community together with the Government to mobilise action on the elimination of viral hepatitis in Australia with renewed determination and purpose.
This event is invitation only. For enquiries about this event please contact Hepatitis Australia, via [email protected].
